Most valuable asset on the shop

I put that up this AM thinking I’d write about it at lunch.  And by then I thought maybe I’d put the lift as the most important.  But it’s still the computer.  Well, in my case, iPad.  Not that the company thinks so.  20 years ago I had to prepare to leave if they didn’t get me a computer.  20 years ago I guess that was a big deal.

It’s much better now but if I want to use a company computer I have to go into the office and log on.  So I bought this and a database program called FileMaker and have been having a blast since..

Good Day Eric, Not sure if you remember me. I work now for StreamSong Golf Resort in Polk Co. Would like to know if you use a Parts tracking program for your shop. Setting up parts for are JD equipment and would like to find something that works. Thanks for any Help you can give..

    Hey Jeff, sure do..
I’ve used Qqest, which I think is now Maintenance Manager, and Toro has an online program that a lot of people are using. Doesn’t matter what equipment you have. I’m working on my own program right now..
